Where Am I?

This site is the personal weblog of Scott Alan Reed, freelance and semi-professional blogger.

I write from the remote Northwoods of Wisconsin about 20 miles south of the Upper Michigan border. This is the lake region of Wisconsin. The majority of those lakes are surrounded by wilderness and woods. But hey, you can be connected to the world via the Internet from just about anywhere. Right?

I love to write. I especially like to write on the subjects of self-improvement and personal development. Making lives better. What can be more important than that. Agree? I also write about whatever interests me and my subscribers. A blog website gives you that liberty to say what’s on your mind. So when I feel “inspired” about a particular topic, I put my thoughts to paper and share relevant information with my readers that empowers them and enriches their lives.

What Will I Find on this Blog Website?

What you won’t find is a sales pitch, celebrity gossip, re-hashed news, a personal diary, or endless advertising.

This is a traditional blog website right out of the 1990’s, when blogging first made its appearance on the Web. Real, traditional blog websites are becoming hard to find. And I think that is why my subscribers are so ecstatic about finding this site, where they can also find information that is relevant to their lives, which they can relate to and apply, to improve their lives. You’ll find this blog to be unique, unlike other so-called “blogs” that you have browsed.

This is a multi-themed site (much to Google’s dismay). So you will not find repetition of a common theme throughout the articles. Reading the same subject over and over again is boring. I don’t think that is what my readers want. I like to give my subscribers solid yet entertaining information. I like to keep them guessing regarding what I’ll present to them next. That’s what makes blog websites fun, yet informative for everyone.

What is Your Primary Purpose in Creating ScottAlanReed.com?

I want to share information that people can use to make their lives better; topics that allow them to use that information to get around or over that next “speed bump” in the road of life.

If I can’t share something that will help my readers over that next obstacle in their lives, then I feel that I have not provided any value for them. That’s what blogging is supposed to be about – sharing wisdom with others so that they can short-cut their lives by learning and sharing information that they have acquired from others.

My readers walk away from each article with something of value. Why reinvent the wheel when information that you need is already readily available to you? You’ll find a “take-away” from every article on this blog website.

I listen to my subscribers and often write about topics that are of interest to them. If I don’t have expertise in a particular area, I do the required research.
